What is Penn for Immigrant Rights?
Penn for Immigrant Rights (PIR) is a social and political advocacy group dedicated to opening up the dialogue about undocumented immigrants and immigration in general. We strive to educate Penn’s campus and the Philadelphia community through demonstrations and workshops that seek to dismantle misconceptions about immigration. We also manage and fundraise the Penn for Immigrant Rights Scholarship, which awards a yearly scholarship to immigrant students in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties.
